Assessment Schedules and other Procedures
The college follows Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) for all the UG courses and credit system for all the PG courses. All these programmes are offered under the semester system with 25% marks for internal evaluation and 75% for external valuation.
1. For the continuous assessment of students, regular tests are being conducted by the course teachers on completion of the syllabi of each unit. Internal assessment tests are conducted twice in a Semester and the better of the two tests is taken as the internal assessment mark, which forms 25% of the total marks of the paper concerned for the UG courses. For PG courses this internal test marks are taken for a maximum of 60 and added with the Assignment and Seminar marks for a maximum of 20 each thereby making the total 100. It is then reduced to 25 and is taken as the CIA mark of the paper concerned for the PG students. The end semester examination papers are valued for a maximum of 75 marks by the examiners by following the dummy numbering system.

The evaluation methods and the dates of conduct of the internal assessment tests and the end semester examinations are notified in the College Calendar supplied to the students at the beginning of the academic year. It is also displayed both in the College and in the Departmental notice boards prior to the commencement of the examination. All the examination are conducted as per the schedule.

Central valuation method is followed for all the UG and PG examinations. Double valuation method is followed for all the PG valuations.

Re-valuation / Re-totalling of marks is permitted for those students who are not satisfied with the valued marks. A sum of Rs.300 is collected as re-valuation fee for each paper.

The examinations are conducted as per schedule and the results are announced within
30 days from the last examination held.
