Placement and Guidance Cell
Activities for the Academic year 2006 – 2007


Placement and Guidance Cell of our college was constituted in August, 2006 with the following staff members as student advisors:

                    1. Prof. R.Devaraj, Lecturer in Physics

                   2. Dr.P.Kanakaraj, Lecturer in Political Science

The aims of the cell are as follows:

  1. Giving guidance to students to get employable skills,

  2. Finding a better and suitable career for every student,

  3. Catering the manpower needs of the industry, and

  4. Creating awareness among the students regarding opportunities available in 

            other educational institutions and industries.


To fulfill the above said aims, the cell has been conducting free coaching classes for competitive examinations like civil services (UPSC), TNPSC examinations, Railway recruitment board exams, etc.

To motivate and guide the students, the cell organized various personality development meetings and seminars by inviting IAS and IPS officers and other suitable persons from various industries.
